Motorcyclist who do not ride when the weather turns could be considered “fair weather riders”. While nothing is wrong with not wanting to ride in less then perfect weather, a rain suit, proper layering and choosing the right gear will make a difference when your just not ready to park the bike. If you are dreading the cold and are beginning to feel the winter blues just remember the sun is warm in the south. A vacation to Florida might just be what you need in the fall. The sun is warm and riding in a balmy 60 to 80 degree weather might be just what the Doctor ordered. Remember, in the day prescriptions were written to spend the winter months in sunny Florida. September and October brings biker festivals starting in North Florida and ending at the southern most point of the continental United States (Key West).
